Blessington U12B’s

Our U12’s last training session where we presented Darragh Gilroy with our Player of the year and Don Halpin Most improved, Conor Gilroy won the Best in Training for this season. Well done to the 3 boys and to the rest of the team who yet again surpassed our expectations and just keep getting better.

Have a great summer to all the parents and families of the U12’s. See you all in August

Blesso U10A’s

Blesso U10A’s finish season on a high

Blesso U10A’s made the trip to Bunclody this year for An Corn Cairdis, a Tournament held between four teams from Dunshaughlin (Meath), St. Ita’s (Dublin), Bunclody (Wexford) & ourselves Blessington (Wicklow).

The Friendly Games

This is the second year of the Festival of Football between like minded clubs whose main aim is to promote football in a fun and friendly environment for all players involved and just like the previous year it didn’t disappoint with fantastic Football and weather in the fabulous surroundings of Bunclody AFC.
A big thank you to Ivan Murphy from Blesso AFC U11A team for making this happen again this year.

To say Bunclody AFC is surely the envy
of every junior soccer team in Ireland is the understatement of the year. The facilities they have managed to provide for their club is second to none and surely a credit to a very hard working committee.

The Football on the day was a joy to watch, and two of the three Blesso teams brought home their respective Trophies with our U11 team just missing out on retaining the trophy they won last year as U 10’s.

A special mention has to go to Emma Downes from Blesso AFC U10’s (pictured below) for scoring the winner in the final Vs Dunshaughlin.
What a goal & what a player.

The Match Winner

Well done to all on the day for representing your club with pride and passion.

We already look forward to An Corn Cairdis 2014. Football as it should be !!!
